Ingredients to make almond milk:
- 1 cup soaked raw almonds and 1/2 cup soaked dates
- 4 cup of water
- Pinch of salt
you’ll need to soak the almonds and dates overnight.
drain the water from the almonds and put them into your blender Then add dates along with the water in which they soaked.
Add almonds (Drained),Add dates and liquid. (Do not drain)
Add a pinch of salt to bring out the rich nutty flavor of almond milk.
Add water to the almonds, dates and salt and start the blending process on a low setting to break the almonds and dates into smaller pieces.
Increase blender setting to high when almonds and dates are in smaller pieces. Then the mixture will turn into a creamy color. In a powerful blender such as a Vita Mix blend for about 1 1/2 minutes. If you’re using a smaller, less powerful version it will take longer time to blend.
The almond milk contains fiber when it is homemade it must be strained to produce the final product by a fine strainer or nut milk bag.
