After “Soggade Chinni Nayana” became a reasonable hit at the box office, the hero-producer of the film Akkineni Nagarjuna had asked the director to develop one of the characters in the film to make a different film. But now it appears he won’t be doing it.
The film had Nagarjuna essaying two roles – Bangarraju the father and his son Ramu. The story has the deceased father coming back to the earth from Hell to protect his family once again as a spirit. In the story the father is a rather flirtatious character. Nagarjuna had apparently asked the director Kalyan Krishna to develop the father’s character to make an entirely new movie. Accordingly the director did develop a new story and script which unfortunately did not find favour with Nagarjuna.
With Nagarjuna not showing any interest in doing that role once again, Kalyan Krishna reportedly narrated the story to Ravi Teja who liked it immensely and gave him the green signal. The director is just waiting for Ravi Teja to complete his current assignments before taking up this project.
